I rememb...Good to see you post this article Roger. I remember discussing this with you on that RV.NET thread that Barry Smith (CapriRacer) started. As I recall from that discussion, the conclusion was that ST tires should not be run beyond 80% of their rated capacity. I have stuck with that since (including some questionable tires made in China) and have not had a single failure. Recently I discovered my wheels had been tested by the manufacturer to a higher pressure and certified for that higher pressure. I was able to go up one load range (same size) and run at 60% capacity. My temperature monitoring is showing that my tires are running even cooler now. Thanks. This reduces the allowable load on this type tire when placed in truck, trailer or SUV service.
